and then they left

and then they left is a puddle and an ocean of lies, liquids and truths. It is a watery yet dry magic trick that wants to fall towards an uncategorised space and pleasure.

The working group has been inspired by the paintings of  Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi, in which revenge serves as a tool for rerouting power structures, and the tragedy of Medea. The performance is not a new version of Medea; instead it takes and leaves the historical art object and considers choir as an opportunity for collective work. The choreographic language is a combination of feminist practice, the fear of banality and composition of soloist and collective drama.

I’m hot, wet and tired

slippery and moist, lies turn into fire

who is a lier? who lied? wo ist lier? wer ist lier?

water water me and lay me bare me open try me lie to me

I swear, I swear so long my tongue will strangle you

hot, wet and tired, open your mouth

hot, wet and tired bodies (figure) floating in decades of saliva

vivid logic open mouth waiting for the arrival

Hot, wet and tired

Body waters poured into the river, waiting their rider/diver

Count your tears while i wash away your fears

and lay me bare me open try me lie to me

water water me, mother medea milk me
